Bit by a Dog
Well, I guess I should be grateful for taking my kids to school instead of making them walk. Today I found out that my cousin's kids were walking home from school, and this dog Jumped the fence and came after them. The poor little boy got bit in the arm. The dog bit so hard that it punctured the boys arm and put a hole in the bone of his arm. He is in the hospital as I write this. I'm sure he'll be terrified of dogs from this instance. I feel so bad for the poor kid.

Running to School
Running to the school 3 times a day is really getting old. I really miss having a bus. I wish I had it in my power to get a bus again. In the last 4 years my oldest has been going to school, we have had a bus. Well the District decided they couldn't afford the "extra" bus and pulled our bus stop. We live 1.3 miles from the school, just .2 miles from having a bus. I do know that the people on the other street from me are 1.5 miles, but the district looks at it in a birdseye view. Do they really think our kids will ever FLY to school? But they wont give us a bus. How depressing.

Back in School
Well the kids are finally back in school. Man life is so crazy, will it ever slow down? I just feel like I run and run, all day long. "I need this, I need that." I just feel like I am constantly running to the store to get stuff for the kids. It is nice though to have some time to myself and My Daughter, except she doesn't like to shop. She cries most the time we are gone, unless of couse she has a bottle hanging out of her mouth.

Shopping on Ebay
Do you ever shop on ebay? I love to shop on ebay, it is the easiest way to get birthday presents. I usually check for deals on Scrapbooking stuff too. I watch the adds, then check out the products home page, then see what kind of deals I can get off of ebay. Sometimes the prices are so outragous, its not even funny. But you can get some of the best deals on ebay. I guess its just my way of "shopping around".

The Weirdest thing
I was getting ready to leave the other morning, and kid you not the weirdest thing happened. I was going back in the house to grab one last thing, and all of the sudden this little creature came crawling out of my garage. Oh I wanted to pick it up so bad, but didn't in fear that it would bite. A friend saw me and came to see what I was looking at. She said it was a salomandor. Where on earth did it come from? It just crawled away, never to be seen again, yet.

Lets Go Paintball
Paintballing looks like so much fun. I personally have never been. I have always wanted to go and know of some places that have fields to play. I have 2 boys that I bet would love to go as well. We should make it a family outing and we will have lots of fun. Someday we will get some paintball gear so we can go. I almost bought my Husband a paintball gun for Fathers day, but was unable to do so. I hope to do it for Christmas. We have a large enough backyard I should get myself a paintball gun as well. Then we could play together. Hmm this makes me want to go get us each a gun for Christmas, since Christmas is only 4 months away.
Bowling
I joined a bowling league about 2 years ago. It is SO much fun. Our league starts agian next Thursday. I can't wait. We went to a meeting last night to discuss everything, then my mother in law and I bowled a couple of games. She won the first game, and I won the second. I haven't had the chance to do much bowling this summer, so I am a little rusty. It will pick up. I can't wait.

My Parents
My Parents are celebrating there 39th wedding anniversary. That is a long time. I have thought many times thru my life, I'm so glad my parents stayed together. There are so many divorces in the world today, I'm so glad I didn't have to endure the pain that may come with a seperation/divorce. I am also glad that my inlaws have stayed together too. Sometimes I think that maybe those that have parents that get divorced are more likely to divorce themselves. But those are just MY thoughts.

School Shopping
Why is school shopping such a chore? I guess my boys just don't care what they wear. I took them to the store, and all they do is fight. THEY'RE BOYS. I should have just bought there close without them. They probably would have been a lot happier. All they really wanted were toys. Who cares about Clothes.
One more week, I'm sure glad they will both be in school this year. Having last weekend to my self has sure givin me an idea of what its going to be like once school starts. Nice and QUIET. I am so looking forward to having the days back to myself.

A weekend to myself
Ok it wasn't exactly to myself, but close. Katrina and I stayed home while My husband took the boys to a family reunion. I was able to get the laundry all caught up, the boys room clean, and other much needed cleaning done. I also spent one evening with my sister. Her city has a "scrapbook" night, so I joined her for the evening. It was loads of fun, even if I didn't get much done when I was there. I enjoy having breaks from my boys from time to time, but I sure missed them. I was glad when they got home. Its just so different while they are gone.

Perseids Meteor Shower
We went camping this weekend. We sat up late and watched the meteor shower. It was SO neat. I don't know if i've ever seen so many shooting stars. My Dad is really into that kind of stuff and has a really nice telescope. We are able to see the rings around Saturn. And the moons around Jupitor. Its so amazing what is out in the universe that we don't even know about. We always point out some of the constilations and view the planets when we are away from the city. The stars are so much brighter out in the wilderness, then in the city. Its such a beautiful sight.

Living planet Aquarium
We went and visited the Aquarium, My kids had so much fun. They have this awesome octopus. It was so cool to watch it move, ok I guess adults are fasinated by gods creatures too. They also have some really cool jelly fish. Its so weird how see thru they are. The kids also got to touch a stingray. those are so soft (and slimey). The sharks were cool too. Oh ya they had this shark egg in a light that you could actually see a baby shark inside the egg moving around.. SO COOL. I'd recommend any one to go there. But it was kinda pricey... Just get the year pass and go back. It's worth it.

Boxing up the Movies
Don't you ever wish you wouldn't have bought so many movies. Man we own so many. My kids never pick them up. so I finally went thru, put them all in there boxes and boxed them all up. It is so nice to not have such a mess. Now the kids have to ask for movies before they can have them. It has made a huge difference, so far. I'd like to go thru them and get rid of them, but there are so many disney classics, it breaks my heart to get rid of them. Someday when they stop making VCRS, I guess I'll have to give them up for the DVD'S. I'd like to get a DVD changer that would hold all the movies so they could just view a menu on the tv and pick there movie that way. Then the DVD's wouldn't get scratched.

It came and went
Well, she is now officially One. We had a BBQ and had both our families here. Talk about a full house. She's so cute. She barely touched her cake at first. I had put a candle on it and lit it, well she thought she needed to touch the flame then ended up burning her finger. Poor thing. She is fine though, and it didn't blister (thank heavens). Once she calmed down from crying and finally tasted the frosting, she loved to eat the frosting. Then I took her and gave her a bath. I got lots of pictures. I am So excited to get them back so I can Scrapbook them. What a cutie..

Getting ready
Well, In a few days, my baby will turn ONE. I can't believe it. It is amazing how fast this last year has gone. The rolling over, sitting up, starting to crawl, eating solid foods. They just dont stay small long. Her teeth have come in so fast in the last 3 weeks, 4 of them have come in. She is so much fun, and such a good baby. Her brothers just can't get enough hugs from her, even though she resists most of them. She gets so excited to see them when they've been gone, even if it is just to a friends house. I guess we cherish the moments while we can.

Family Reunion
We just had our annual family reunion at a local water park. We had SO much fun. My Dad is so wonderful to take my baby so I could go have fun with my boys. My Mom my sister and I went and played Miniture golf, it was SO hot and lots of fun. There were a lot of families that traveled from out of town to be there.
The last evening we have a raffle, Everyone brings stuff and raffle it off. I won 5 different things, including a rocking horse made by my Uncle. It is Beautiful. I wanted to win SO bad, and I DID...
Its so good to see family when some of them live so far away.

Mirror Lake
We took a nice drive to Mirror lake on sunday. It was SO beautiful. It even rained. We haven't had rain forever. I got some of the cutest pictures of my kids. They had so much fun taking off there shoes and playing in the lake. Tommy actually fell in and got all wet, so he complained quite a bit. We walked around the lake, it took about an hour and a half. It was so peaceful, and it was fun to talk to all the fishermen who were fishing. when we got done we went and ate some chicken we had picked up before hand. We ended up eating it in the car because of the rain. On the way back down the canyon we stopped at some falls along the way. It was so nice, and the kids really didn't fight too much in the car.

My kids survived
Well, My kids survived there swim lessons. I was so proud of Thomas. He just jumped right in, and didn't make a big deal about being wet/splashed. Adam did very well too. he can float all by himself now. They really wish they could start lessons again in the next session, but they are full.
Katrina was really good about sitting there and playing with toys while the boys swam. during the last week, I'd let her out of her stroller and let her play on the ground... Both kids passed there class

Mowing the Lawn
My husband is so good at mowing the lawn. We own an acre of land, and he just gets out there and uses a push mower. Our neighbors on both sides of us have offered to let us borrow there riding lawn mower, but he just says "no thanks". I gave up on mowing the lawn about 7 years ago when my allergies were so bad that I couldn't breathe for 2-3 days after I was done. I finally told him that I couldn't do it anymore. I cant mow the lawn once a week, then take 3 days to recover from it. He says it's good exercize, and who doesn't need exercize?

I need another vacation
Do you ever wish someone would come and take you away on a vacation? Just radomly pick someone, go on a nice cruise. Or just go someplace Far away. I'd love for someone to do that. But I feel I only dream of a vacation. My children really do not know what it's like to vacation. As a child, we went camping everywhere. We did Tons of traveling. All the way into Canada, since my mom is Canadian. Most of her family is still in Canada. I bet its been at least 15 years since I have seen My Grandma on my Mother's side. My job keeps me home, so I can't get away too much. Someday I hope to take my kids to DisneyLand, or DisneyWorld. I'd also love to go on a cruise...
Dream... Dream... Dream...

Swim Lessons
On monday my kids start swim lessons. Thomas doesn't like to get wet, so I'm kinda curious as to how he is going to react. Adam on the other hand is like a fish out of water, He loves the water. We got a small pool about 2 weeks ago, I can't keep him out of it.
I'm sure they will do well, I booked the kids lessons at the same time as my Neighbor has her kids in, So I'd have someone to sit and talk with. This is there first time in lessons, But i'm sure they'll do good.

My Grandma
Today Would have been my grandmothers 89th birthday. She was the sweetest lady anyone could have known. She Always had a smile on her face and Cookies in her cookie jar. She passed away in July of 2001, I was Pregnant with my second son.
She had Alzheimer's Disease. But not a very bad case. She was so cute, she'd say, Now isn't he yours? (meaning my oldest son.)He has such dark brown eyes.
My grandparents have quite a heritage. They had 10 kids, my father being #5, they have 62 grandkids (31 boys and 31 girls, I don't know how they managed that) and as of now they have 112 greatgrandkids, and the numbers keep going up. I love coming from a large family.

Allergies
I went to see an allergist the other day. I have always had allergies, but they keep getting worse. So talking to some friends, I decided it was tome to go visit one.
The test was quite interesting. Not painful at all, but I’m glad it’s over with. Apparently I am allergic to
Trees: spring (march, April, May)
alder linden, ash, white maple, silver, aspen mulberry, birch, river oak, scrub, box elder olive, Russian cedar, mountain pfitzer, cottonwood sycamore, American elm, American tree of heaven elm, Siberian walnut, black juniper willow, black
Grasses: Summer (may, June, July)
Bermuda, timothy, Kentucky blue.
Weeds: Fall (July, August, Sept, Oct) alfalfa lambs quarters ragweed, western burning bush, pigweed Russian thistle, dock mix plantain
sagebrush mix, false ragweed rabbit brush scale mix giant marsh elder
molds: indoor and outdoor
other: Cat, horse, Doge, house dust mite, feathers
On top of all that, I have a mild case of asthma, which after thinking about it, explains a whole lot.
But who would have thought I could be allergic to so many things?

Teasing
Do you ever tease your kids?
I love to tease mine. Surprisingly they still fall for it every time. One of my favorite things to do is when they ask for something, like a piece of cake, I say, “Oh, I just ate the last piece” then of course they start to cry. I also like to hide from them. Am I mean?
One day my son came home from school on early day (age 7 at the time), he came and found me, acting surprised I said to him “Thomas, your teacher just called and said you left too early and need to go back to school.” Oh the look on his face was priceless.
But I still tease them as much as possible. He is starting to catch on and not believing every thing I say.

The Color of a Car
Do you think the color of your car has anything to do with your attitude?
Mood rings are suppose to show “how we feel”. Why not our cars? Obviously our car can’t change colors, but when you pick out your car, does the color mean anything?
My husband and I own 2 Toyota Corolla’s, one is blue, and the other is Black. He drives the Blue, I drive the black. The blue one is a 1998 and the Black one is a 2004. Our black car looks kind of sporty. One day I noticed someone had “keyed” our car. (They took their key and ran it down the one side of the car.) Did they do it because they thought it was some punk Kid who drives a sporty car? I’ll never know.

Camping
I love to camp. My parents have owned land for many, many years. As a child we always went there to camp. Over the years, my dad has made an undesirable outhouse into a nice flushing toilet. He has also built a small cabin for him and my mom. We have a “shower house” too, so we can take a shower. He is in the process of building a small storage shed, which is why we went camping this weekend.
I don’t mind sleeping in a tent as ling as I have my air mattress. We call our property “Eldredge Mountain”.
